Misterton 4 - 1 Pymore FC

Pymore`s poor form continued as they slumped to yet another defeat against a Misterton team who remain unbeaten now for about 27 matches. Pymore were missing keeper Charlie Youngs, who had gone away shopping with his girlfriend, so that meant reserve keeper and midfield playmaker Rob Walter was handed the gloves and asked to play between the sticks. Pymore failed to turn up for the 1st half and found themselves 3-0 down at the interval and only tested the home sides keeper with about 1 minute to go when striker Timmy Hussey shot from the centre circle.

Another low point of a very poor Pymore 1st half performance was a supid yellow card for midfield spice boy Julian Davies who when on attack was told by the Misterton full back that he didn`t look like Darius and that upset Jules who lost his temper and squared up to him. Both players names were taken in the referee`s little black book. Pymore came out for the start of the second half looking more like a team and playing the ball around a bit more and created several before finally finding away through the Misterton defence when a quickly taken free kick by Mickey Gilmore found Alex Goodrick who slipped the ball under the body of the on rushing keeper.

Misterton started to get worried that Pymore were begining to get a foot hold on the game but chances were wasted and as Pymore pushed forward in search of a second goal, Misterton broke away and got a fourth to book themselves a place in the next round of the competition in which they are currently the holder.

Pymore will need to get something out of next weeks league match against Hinton at St Mary`s Playing Field, hopefully we can get our 1st three points of the season. Discuss this match via our message boards here.
