South Petherton Reserves 3 - 5 Pymore FC

Pymore gained another 3 points in this tight battle against bottom of the table South Petherton. On a massive pitch Pymore manager opted to start Mickey Gilmore in the centre of the park allowing Fred Etherington to sit on the bench and save himself for the midweek derby against Netherbury. Pymore started blightly but couldn't put away any of their chances and it was Petherton who pened the scoring against the run of play when Pymore left back Leigh Hansford was caught on the ball and the striker nipped in and fired past Charlie.

Alarms bells started ringing when Petherton doubled there lead when a striker beat the offside trap and cooly slotted home. Pymore then grabbed a goal just before the break when Christian nodded the ball accross the goaline and the Petherton defender bundled it into his own. Words were said in the Pymore dressing room at the interval and Pymore changed things about bringing on Freddy for Mickey in the middle of the park.

As the light drizzle began to fall, Pymore started to find there passing game and were level when Tither played the ball through for Timmy to ran onto and fire pass the keeper. Hussey then put Pymore ahead for the first time linking well with Goodrick before smashing home. Goodrick then got himself on the score sheet poking the ball over the onrushing keeper before Hussey secured the three points with his hat trick from the penalty spot after he was brought down by an x rated tackle. Petherton got a 3rd in what must of been nearly the 53rd minute to give themselves some hope in a 2nd period which the stand in referee played in the region of a 63minutes. Pymore held on for the victory which moves them up the table and looking ahead to gaining 9 points out of 9 with the visit of Andy Loudon's Netherbury to St Marys Playing Field on Wednesday.
